Rising energy and a little bit of mystery: Cold Blue - A New Spirit [Subculture]

Cold Blue released a new track! Cold Blue released a new track! A New Spirit was out on May 4th and it couldn't be a better follow up for Learning to Live!

Having effected a career breakout last year, the opening months of 2018 have seen Cold Blue shift up another couple of gears again. With debut festival performances for the young German incoming at Tomorrowland, EDC Vegas and Airbeat One, studio-side he’s cemented his position equally firmly with a salvo of new heat-seekers.

His disc of the recent ‘Subculture’ mixcomp served as a de facto artist album, which showcased in ever-greater focus his artistic capabilities and there, amongst its number, was the indomitable ‘A New Spirit’. Few realised it at the time, but ‘A New Spirit’ had enjoyed first light several months early at last winter’s Dreamstate. Cold Blue flew it under the ID radar during his SoCal performance, as a blind taste test for the tune. The crowd’s reactive energy wave was all it took to convince him that it was ‘Learning To Live’s follow-up.

In the run up to Dreamstate, EDMIdentity described Cold Blue as “fresh, original and risk-taking”, all adjectives which serve ‘A New Spirit’ equally. Tobias draws celestial FX and cursive cruising sub-melodies into the track’s midrange, setting ‘Spirit’ on a deliberately measured climb to the heavens. Into that he adds epic guitar hooks and raincry harmonies, furthering its ether. As its mainline evolves, builds, swells and finally resolves at improbable heights, its godly synths will draw you into an embrace you may never fully emerge from!

For me this track building energy so nicely. It is is a continuous rising energy. It doesn't take you to a higher place and leaves you there. It takes you higher and higher. It literally lifts your spirit up. It has a mystery I couldn't figure it out yet. It draws my soul through different states, so different I can't find the proper words to describe them. This track is magical, and it really worked for me while working, while writing, while designing. I found it to be perfect in situations where you might need a little more motivation, where you might need a little more energy.

You can discover Cold Blue’s essential ‘ A New Spirit’ here.

SHINE Ibiza – The New Trance Destination at Vista Club @ Privilege

I was looking to some flights to Ibiza the other days, when this bomb dropped: Trance has found a new sanctuary for its family. Paul van Dyk, Aly & Fila and more than 20 DJs will celebrate SHINE Ibiza, an 11-week run, Monday July 9 to September 17 at Privilege's Vista Club. I saw this post on Paul's socials, but I I wasn't expecting this kind of announcement. This is definitely the greatest news. SHINE Ibiza will definitely be the centre stage for the truest form of Trance on the Isle.

“what SHINE offers, is a world of opportunities - a hub to an international community and a place where we belong no matter where we’re from. The trance family is a global collective of positive, caring and fun-loving people. Myself, my fellow DJs, the event organizers and club staff will go the extra mile to provide the best possible experience for them. I look forward, with the greatest anticipation to seeing you at SHINE!” - Paul van Dyk

The Club Vista-based nights will take place each Monday from the 9th of July to September 17th. Completing its line-ups throughout the season, Paul will be joined by DJs including Aly & Fila, Bryan Kearney, Simon Patterson, Cosmic Gate, Neelix, Grum, Ben Nicky and others. First and foremost, SHINE is aimed at trance-conscious music lovers seeking mind-blowingly produced nights, packed with magic, energy and light, but overall that essential familiar spirit.

Nick Ferguson, MD of Supernova Group and former Cream Ibiza promoter explains: “Trance has deep roots on the island of Ibiza. It’s been the spiritual home to its positive, uplifting sounds since the 90s. SHINE Ibiza wants to bring this spirit back, the human factor. Everybody is part of SHINE – DJs, guests and staff alike. We all come together to have a great time, meet old friends, make new friends, enjoy our favourite music in long DJ sets with amazing production and a breath-taking view of Ibiza’s sunrise”. SHINE residents Aly & Fila added “We are very much looking forward to being part of SHINE Ibiza this summer. It is great to see this dedicated Trance event on the White Isle. See you several times over the summer!”

Vista is the club within a club - the world’s biggest club to be exact. Over the last five + years it has earned its name and reputation though its atmosphere and singular location. Beamed down UFO-like onto Privilege’s voluminous terrace, by night its glass pyramid structure is an awe-inducing place to dance. As dawn breaks, Club Vista irradiates to reveal a once-seen, never-forgotten panorama. With an outlook across La Isla Blanca, it stretches right the way to Dalt Vila. Sunrise sets at Vista are an experience that’s left trip-defining impressions on tens of thousands. Through the amplitude of its glass grandstand, its night-to-day transitions are evermore a 21st century clubbing rite of passage. Uniting the music with the scenic into one multisensory experiencing, it’s this perfect backdrop that SHINE has chosen for their Ibizan adventures.

2 discs. One album: Roger Shah has 'No Boundaries'.

Seven years in the waiting, nearly three in the making and a testament to music’s spiritual capacity to heal, ‘No Boundaries’ arrives this May.

Musically, its creator Roger Shah is a man with a considerable amount to say and a tireless amount of studio energy to do it with. Album-wise however it’s not often he does it under his own name. Given the wealth of his output, ‘No Boundaries’ - surprisingly perhaps - is the first Roger Shah long-player to see the light since ‘Openminded?!’ back in 2011.

Interspaced between have been five mix-compilations, a range of soundtracks & side projects and - under many an alias (most notably Sunlounger and High Noon At Salinas) - several albums. As such you’d be more than forgiven for losing sight of the time slip that’s opened up between ‘Openminded?!’ and ‘No Boundaries’.

Even for studioholics like Roger, albums don’t happen overnight. ‘No Boundaries’ process came together at a more measured pace than any of his projects before it. Though its production took place during a period of personal loss for Roger (with the passing of his mother), this was as much down to the album’s range & scope. It took the better part of 3 years for its 30 tracks to be completed and drawn together.

A frankly massive contingent by any long-playing standards, ‘No Boundaries’ features a comparably impressive ensemble of singers, songwriters and other artistic partnerships. Moya Brennan, JES, Carla Werner, Natalie Gioia, Jennifer Rene and Susana are just some of the names marshaled to its starry vocal cast. Alongside them Roger’s rejoined by singers whose tones have become all-but synonymous with his work. ‘No Boundaries’ sees the return of regular Shah players such as Yoav, LeiLani, Inger Hansen, Zara Taylor and Adrina Thorpe. As singers, so producer team-ups abound. Aly & Fila, Sied van Riel, Stoneface & Terminal, RAM and Feel are just some of the fellow studio-heads who’ve rallied to ‘No Boundaries’ creation.

A seven year interim between albums there might be, but title as in tone, ‘No Boundaries’ and ‘Openminded?!’ share a common message-cum-theme. Shah’s musical world is remarkable. Instrumentation, arrangements, influences and style-mixing - the likes of which no other producers addresses - are writ big-print large and ‘No Boundaries’ is no exception. It is however definitively Shah at his most 4/4 and ‘club’ paced.

Right away the first disc delivers a cornucopia of standouts. Clannad’s Moya Brennan features on the heart-stirring ‘Reasons To Live’, while keeping it in the family, daughter Aisling Jarvis delivers a hat-trick of incredible performances through ‘When You’re Here’, ‘Hold Your Head Up High’ and ‘Call Me Home’. LeiLani’s ‘Love Heals You’ and ‘Eternal Time’ strike at emotional centres, as does Roger’s most recent single – the JES-treated ‘Star-crossed’. Lent voice by Inger Hansen, Roger’s creative reconsideration of dance classic ‘Castles In The Sky’ shines, as do ‘Fire’ & ‘Skyline’ - new productions voiced by Zara Taylor and Adrina Thorpe respectively.

On it’s road to release, Roger said of ‘No Boundaries’ “my idea was to create a unique journey for the listener to take. Its production has certainly been that for me. Working on it over the longer time period has been an experience as different as it’s been hindsight revealing. When I listen to each individual song, I can really hear what I was going through whilst making it. It’s wonderful to now be able to experience them all together, collected in this album form.

‘No Boundaries’ creation also coincided with a markedly difficult time for him personally. Roger continues: I have dedicated this album to my beloved mom, who very sadly never got to hear it in its final form. I’ll always be grateful though that she had the chance to listen to it at least in part”.

To the greater degree Disc 2 is the rally point for the majority of the album’s producer collaborations. ‘For The One You Love’ teams Roger with Dutchman RAM while ‘Without You’ sees a similar debut studio acquaintance made with Sied van Riel. A former ASOT Tune Of The Year, ‘Unbreakable’ has Roger reconnecting with Aly & Fila, while Disc 2’s swansong is his remix tribute to Tiësto & Julie Thompson’s classic ‘Somewhere Inside’. Dotted between, cooler productions also prevail. More chilled lower-tempo numbers like the Carla Werner-sung ‘Castaway’ and ‘One Life’ alongside Feel and Zara Taylor provide natural intermissions to its abiding 4/4 nature.

‘No Boundaries’ arrives on May 11th - you can pre-order Roger Shah’s exceptional new album here from today .

New album: Solarstone presents . . - - - [Black Hole Recordings]

Great news to start May with: Solarstone releases his new album "..---". The name may appear odd to some, but this is the Morse representation of the actual number 2. This make (at least) me think there is more in store and that  ".----" was only the beginning of something very pure and great.

This second album keeps some constants from the first one: 8 tracks, artwork and of course the great melodies Rich put together. As with all musical series worth their salt, continuity and balance is key. In regard to its overarching feel, 2 interlocks seamlessly with 1. That aspect in fact goes farther still - threads from Solarstone’s wider canon are picked up, with track arcs continued and open single loops resolved.

The mark of a true artist, Rich progresses album matters in many ways, while ring-fencing the core elements of his musical culture. And yes, the ability to surprise and catch the listener unawares is still one of them. Thematic strands are drawn from numerous time periods, influences and disciplines - both musical and otherwise. Each is woven, with differing degrees of presence into the album’s fabric. Some stand totem tall. Others become apparent only over time. Each though provides micro-clues to what is undoubtedly now an album sequence.

Tonally, the release also pushes the needle into what Rich classifies as “the second half of a Solarstone club night”. The tempo receives a kick, prog-trance elements ebb, while uplift – both vocally, musically and spiritually – flows.

The album opens on the promise of ‘Midsummer Nights’. Over nigh-on eight minutes, hovering piano notes, rich pulsating bass and reflective guitars brilliantly set the album in motion. Musically, lyrically and vocally, Rich hits an introspective note on its second track, ‘Shards’. Backed by his classical instrumentation, he reaches deep within. With its love redemption theme, it constitutes a record as personal as anyone from his quarter has ventured.

‘Please’, from 2012’s ‘Pure’ album was always projected to be one of Solarstone’s multipart track arcs. ‘Brighter days ahead’ in feel, forthright in pace and spurred by tactical, yet innate key shifts, it was composed as a final tribute to Rich’s late father. Loosely based around Handel’s ‘Largo’ – a composition with which they shared a considerable mutual appreciation, ‘Thank You’ retains all the emotion and uplift of its six-year-old counterpart. Between its vulnerable lyrics and impassioned, resolute delivery, Thea Riley walks a tightrope-like balance on ‘I Want You Here’. Emotionally laying it on the line, Rich musically reflects each twist of its song through his studio work.

As the album shifts into its second phase, another Solarstone outing receives its sequel. The second coming of ‘Shield’, Rich once again delves into his string section for ‘(Pt II)’. Finding that infinite equilibrium between acoustic guitars and other string family associates, he frames them around an initially filmic intro and latterly, surging, FX-flush trance. Jonathan Mendelsohn’s history in vocal-ling tracks from the electronic music quarter is almost as extensive as that of Solarstone’s in producing them. Together on ‘This Is Where It Starts’, the two have conspired a track so instantly memorable, it’s an instant ‘one more tune’… anthem candidate.

There’s only one of the album’s number that can lay claim to its ‘most epic’ tag though and that’s ‘Motif’. Big of riff, bold of pace & bass, it builds without pause over 5 minutes to deliver a drop that’ll leave clubber gasping and floor reeling. Extraordinarily perhaps, the album’s valedictory track has been in production development for 20 years. Beginning life many a Solar cycle ago, ‘Without You’ has gone through more honing and refinements, than even he can recall. Its critical tipping point though came through Meredith Call’s song - an exceptional tour de force deliverance that – backed by Solarstone’s breaks - is achingly painful in its beauty.

The dots are starting to get joined: one album has become two, 8 tracks, now 16 - a potential magnum opus is afoot. Released on 04/05/18, pre-order purchase . . . - - - here: blackhole.choons.at/solarstone2 or via the SolarShop here.

Something to fuel the soul: Nikolauss - Overdrive [Extrema Global Music]

It is very difficult for me to talk about Andrei's work. I say this every time I want to write about his work. I fear I might be too subjective. Because, of course I am Nikolauss's biggest fan. Because, of course, I like each track he releases and I can't wait to see what else the industry has in store for him.

He released last Monday, Overdrive. A very strong track, perfect to celebrate 200 releases from Extrema Global Music. The label is doing great and Nikolauss is the right man for such a milestone. The track is so driving, so powerful and it got a lot if nice feedback from the fans. Grab your copy too here: extrema.lnk.to/overdrive.

Here we are. When we started thinking about who deserved this particular milestone, the answer was immediately clear. Andrei has been one of the most successful, consistent and ever evolving artist we ever had the pleasure to work with, he became a core team member of the Label and ultimately a true friend. We are very proud to introduce you Nikolauss - Overdrive, the 200th. Extrema Global Music release. There's nothing more to say. Just press play and be amazed. - Astuni

I called it "something to fuel your soul" for a reason. The track is one of those tracks to instantly pump you with energy and make your day better. It is a track to wake up to. To dance in the bus station. To run to. To run towards all your goals and dreams and smash everything that might come between you. I listen to this track after I read an email I might not agree with and immediately feel better. I listen to this track after I feel like there is no motivation, and I instantly get up and do better. I listen to this track for a while now to dream it and know each sound of it. To know each goosebump I'll get.

Just hit play and try it too.

Romanian Trance Gathering #1 - the beginnings of a fairytale

Romanian Trance Family is something trending right now for the Romanian Trance Community and not only. The Romanian Trance Family is finally something a bit more tangible than just a Facebook group with endless posts. The Romanian Trance Family is the reborn of a community we all thought lost, after the last events.

I discovered the Fb group randomly while looking for something and I was intrigued by it. The first question that crossed my mind was: is this another group, or will this turn into something better? Something that will support the music, something that will support the local artist, something that will forget about all the egos and fight for what makes us happy? I got involved. Of course. Cuz' that's who I am. That's what I do. I want to be involved and help anyway I can something that looks promising and also supporting the music that keeps me alive.

And then, the first official event happened. After weeks of planning and talking about it, I finally went to Bucharest and enjoyed a night full of trance and cool people. This event was special for me for many reasons. I got see some very close friends again, Nikolauss had a b2b set with Starpicker, that was out of this world and I got to enjoy trance for more than 8 hours a night.

The line-up sounded quite nice and interesting: Skydreamer (warm-up set), Sundancer, Exolight, Bogdan Vix, Nikolauss b2b Starpicker, George Andreas and Alkalin. I knew from the start that I will hear good music, but I didn't expect to see 8 people doing such a great job behind the decks.

Skydreamer built the energy up and prepared very well the start for the night. Soft, and emotional. Sundancer did what he knows best: to bring us the best in trance and uplifting with his set. Playing Loneliest Night from Giuseppe Ottaviani was a highlight for me and one of the tracks I remember from the set. You know me: when the set is so good, I just lose myself through music. I do not remember much, but the goosebumps and the happiness I enjoy on the dancefloor.

It was the first time I saw Exolight behind the decks, and I sooo enjoyed what I saw. And what I heard. And experienced. The man looks like he was made for this. So natural, so close to the public and so entertaining. He chose very good his tracks and of course it got me goosebumps from head to toe when he played Footprints on the Moon. The track is so special to me, because of all the memories that it brought back and still feel like I cannot find the right words to describe it. Bogdan Vix had a different set, but different is good sometimes. I got the chance to jump around and lose my voice singing along.

The only B2B set of the night, the most special moment for me, the set of Nikolauss and Starpicker was, obviously, my favorite. Not only because I support the guys with everything they do, but because they worked so good together. I must admit I was a bit (a loooot) nervous about how this will happen, but the guys surprised me. Even though they had a small technical difficulty in the beginning, they surpassed it and din one hell of a job. I lost myself and I found myself in the same time. I knew what they had prepared as in tracks, but I was surprised by the combination these 2 did. The combined very nice the melodic part of trance with the darker, harder more energetic one. Without doubt, this is my favorite moment of the night and I will keep it closely to my heart for a very long time from now on.

Always front row. 😍😍😍 Always. #trance #trancefamily

A post shared by Trancers.ro (@trancers.ro) on

George Andreas, the youngest DJ from the team did great too. I knew he was nervous about the set, but he did a very good job. Picked us up right from were Nikolauss and Starpicker left us and build it to the top! He also played Poseidon, one of my all time favorites, so I am grateful for that too. That shows he listens to the audience and cares about some's preferences. That is a good choice and it will help him in the future. A bright future awaits him and he should not stop working to get there.

I saw for the first time Alkalin playing. And I got the honour to experience a vinyl set from him. That is a 2 in 1 happiness. He clearly knows what he's doing, being a veteran in the industry. Some very nice classics made the night complete. Also, hearing Burned with Desire from Armin van buuren and Justine Suissa made me smile and lose the already lost voice by singing along. This is another track with memories, so I couldn't stay away.

Radio DEEA and Trance Energy Radio were also media partners at the even, together with Trancers.ro and they did an amazing job broadcasting the party, both video on Facebook and audio on the radio. You can check for yourself all the sets here and here.

Overall the party was great. Overall the people were happy. I am happy the party happened. I am happy we finally got the see equal chances to all the artists from the Romanian Trance scene. I am happy I got to experience another trance night and enjoy it. I am happy. But I am also a perfectionist and I just hope that all the feedback I gave got the ears of those who'd listen. To those who'd use it to make things better.

The team looks nice and interesting. Challenging to work with, but I like a good challenge. I like working alongside motivated people and I am looking forward to see what else they have prepared. What else they have in plan for the community and how will they make trance strong again. I know our paths will cross a lot. And maybe soon you'll get to see a part of it. Or maybe not. :)

The future is bright, and we can make it even brighter. By working together, and leaving the egos aside. By focusing on what matters and that's MUSIC. The joy it brings. The goosebumps it gives. The artists behind it and their work. Supporting each and one of them. Supporting the fans. Supporting their dreams and considering their opinions. There is no real community without fans, nor artists, nor passionate and determined people. There is some magic, but we just need to find it and use it properly to make this fairytale come true.

Music for the soul: Exolight & Suncatcher - Footprints on the Moon [Ava White]

I am looking at the blank space and I am trying to write something about this track. I am trying to find my words to describe this magic. I am trying to explain all the feelings I am getting and it is hard. It is so hard, because when I first heard the track, it left me speechless. It opened a lot of feelings I thought forgotten and literally stole all my words. Exolight and Suncatcher released on April 9th Footprints On The Moon with Ava White and blew a whole community with it.

This track should be called Footprints On The Soul. Because it marks you in a way you cannot ever erase. It is a track that engraves every sound in my soul and makes my whole existence smile. It gives me the purest goosebumps. It gives me a joy that is very hard to describe with words. It makes me see all my life in just a moment. But in the best way possible. And the happiest way possible.

It is a track like I haven't listened in a while. It is a true trance track that few are able to make these days. It is a track that reminds me of the older style and that makes me melancholic. It is a track to have on repeat and never get bored of.

Be sure to grab your copy too, and support these guys's work. I am 1000% they will not stop soon. And they shouldn't. When your music makes people happy, it is a clear sign, you should never stop.

Supported by Armin Van Buuren, Aly & Fila, Manuel Le Saux, Roger Shah, Andrew Rayel, Photographer and many more.

New track: Suzanne Chesterton & Robert Lowe - Antus [Vandit]

In both solo and co-op form, Richard Lowe’s been a production presence on VANDIT‘s skyline for some time now. Through outings like ‘Levitate’ and his ‘Our Day’ & ‘March Skies’ team-ups with David Forbes, floor-side he’s been a rainmaker to some big, BIG club moments. Having written her own compositions from her single digit years, Suzanne Chesterton caught the musical bug even earlier. It took the meeting of these two likeminds for her first release to be fully realised though.

What though is an ‘Antus’!? Well, if you ask Google, it’ll tell you it’s “a World of Warcraft player with exceptional skills and the strength of a beast!” We’re not certain if this is the origin of Suzanne & Richard’s incarnation, but (and you can probably see where we’re going with this!) it does one heck of a job in describing it!

Trancefloor elevation to vertiginous levels is what the duo have conspired. Through ‘Antus’ powerplant drums, rimshot percussion drive, no-nonsense pace and tirelessly grafting synths, that’s exactly where you’re carried. Don’t look down (less you dare!) - ‘Antus’ from Suzanne & Richard towers from today! Score your copy hereabouts: https://www.beatport.com/track/antus-club-mix/10418974 or you can also catch a listen via VANDIT’s Soundcloud.

Finally out: Cosmic Gate - ‘Wake Your Mind’ Sessions 003!

After last year’s ‘Materia’-induced hiatus, ‘Wake Your Mind Sessions’ – Cosmic Gate’s celebrated mixcomp series - has been returned to its traditional March release slot. ‘WYMS:003’ is available this very moment, through all shop & streaming channels and is ready to put some spring into your Spring!!

Giving you an insight into ‘003’s musical make-up, Nic & Bossi have put together a WYMS minimix, which is live now via their Soundcloud page You can also purchase/listen-to the complete ‘WYMS003’ here!

Specifically though, what’s what with ‘003’ then? Well - dare we say – it’s bolder in vision and even wider in its style & power-band. Bigger too, by virtue of an even higher ratio of exclusives, premieres and first-listen tracks - all threaded into the mix. Leaving no studio door un-knocked or creative avenue unexplored, Nic & Bossi have – as ever - been tireless in sourcing its sonic ordnance. That’s resulted in music, mixes and mash-ups as far as eye can see & ear can hear!

Included among them, ripe from the studio desks of Estiva, Eskai and Leo Reyes, are new reworks of some of ‘Materia’s most majestic moments. You’ll also find freshly inked Wake Your Mind Records signings courtesy of Greenhaven DJs, Noise Zoo, Patrick White and Marcus Santoro. Mash-ups abound too, with Cosmic Gate getting their hands on artists as diverse as Third Party and Marco V. And naturally they all fall between the hottest, latest soundware from a super-starry tracklist cast - Above & Beyond, Gabriel & Dresden, Kyau & Albert & Genix, Wellenrausch & Gai Barone and Tim Mason to mention but a few.

On completing Wake You Mind Sessions 003, Cosmic Gate’s Bossi commented: "as ever, a great deal of thought went into the structuring of these mixes. The first person we played it to really put their finger on it: ‘CD1, I turn on at work and CD2 I listen to in the car before I go out’ Music to our ears - that was exactly what we were going for!

As laser meets disc, the atmosphere-soaked pads of Eskai’s intro-tweaked ‘Fall Into You’ mix get us underway. Early tone dialed-in, mix.01 plots a cool path through the progressive sound-fields. Staking their righteous claims there are Above & Beyond & Richard Bedford, with the Spencer Brown reworking of ‘Northern Soul’ and Jerome Isma-Ae & Alastor’s instrumental take on Wellenrausch/Gai Barone collab ‘Heroes of Light’.

Signaling a subtle-yet-perceptible upswing in feel, Cosmic Gate & Alastor’s ‘Fight The Feeling’ has ‘WYMS003’ cross from prog into trance. Courtesy of Greenhaven DJs ‘The Unexamined’ and Tim Mason’s jacked-up ‘Switcher’, techier and more distortion-heavy vibes seize its centre-ground. Bringing Mix 1 to its mercurial apex are Maor Levi’s deliciously warped ‘Juno’ and Cosmic Gate just-released rephrase of Gabriel & Dresden’s ‘Only Road’.

Through Estiva’s ethereal rework of CG x Super8 & Tab outing ‘Noom’ and ‘Find The Sun’ by Raz Nitzan & Moya Brennan, Mix 2 opens in cooler waters. This being Cosmic Gate though, you know it’s but a momentary calm before the storm. Ahead of the album’s mixing, the Wake Your Mind Records contract pen’s seen action aplenty and Nic & Bossi use the second disc’s midpoint to break out their latest signings.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Elaborating, Bossi says: "we were blessed with a mass of exclusive track submissions from young & upcoming producers. In the end there proved to be too much great work to choose from! (We wanna send an especially big shout out to all the producers from around the world who sent us tracks!!). In the end we signed material from Australia’s Markus Santoro, Patrick White from Poland, Holland’s Noise Zoo and Greenhaven DJs from the USA. All exclusive on this album and later to be released on our label WYM Records. Keep a close ear out for them. Nic & I reckon you’re going to be hearing a lot more from these guys in the future!!" ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As it hits the home straight, CG reopen ‘Materia’s track-trove, lining up Ferry Corsten collab ‘Dynamic’, current single ‘If Not Now’ and – exclusively - Leo Reyes’ blistering remix of CG & Markus Schulz’s ‘AR’. To gift the mix a fitting finale, Nic & Bossi have included two new, thoroughly locomotive mash-ups for it. ‘Like This Body Of Conflict’ twists their (what else but!) classic ‘Body Of Conflict’ around last year’s pulse racing hit from Third Party. ‘WYMS003’s valedictory track (and a celebration of all things ‘V’) ‘Muraco's Godd’ sees Marco V’s most recent and most revered tracks united as one, for the techiest, most fearsome of tie-offs. Flowing and gazelle-like in places, charging rhino-like in others, ‘Wake Your Mind Sessions 003’ is another deftly mixed Cosmic Gate masterpiece. 160 minutes of cortex-wobblingly music to enjoy in the privacy of your own party, you can pop it on digital order here or for the CD edition here

Cosmic Gate: Wake your mind Sessions 003 and another track made in heaven with Jes

If Not Now, when? Later. Cuz Oana got so lost into the track and what the guys announced to have prepared for march, that she forgot to write her soul about it. Cosmic Gate & Jes - If Not Now, was released on February 9th and received such an amazing feedback from the trance community. The guys did great for so long, you could not expect less than greatness for their new track. Also, they announced a new compilation due March 16th that will most likely blow our minds!

A match made by heavens. Yes. Because Jes's voice fits perfectly to everything the guys produce. Her voice is so clean, so angelic, so astonishing. And because Nic and Bossi are some of the few that made me fall in love with this music because of their unique sound. This match is perfect with each track they release.

Across its two Chapters of Materia, her voice instilled heart and soul to no fewer than three of its number. None though highlighted her expressive songwriting and vocal range to quite the same degree as new single ‘If Not Now’. Backed by the intensity of Nic & Bossi’s sophisticated ever-evolving, production, ‘If Not Now’s metaphorically implicit verses, imploring chorus and straight-from-the-heart delivery prove thoroughly irresistible in this brand new 2018 Club Mix.

With matters ‘Materia’ to attend to, Cosmic Gate’s ‘Wake Your Mind Sessions’ series went on hiatus last year. Absence, as they say, only makes the heart grow fonder and today the news those left bereft in ‘17 wanted, nay needed to hear… ‘WYMS’s back, baby!! Reinstated to its traditional release March slot, it’s ready to springboard you headfirst into Spring!

So what’s what with ‘003’ then?

As ever, a great deal of thought went into the structuring of these mixes. The first person we played it to really put their finger on it: ‘CD1, I turn on at work and CD2 I listen to in the car before I go out’ Music to our ears - that was exactly what we were going for! - Bossi

"We were blessed with a mass of exclusive track submissions from young & upcoming producers.
